This experiment aims to determine the distance between the gap by using a grating spectrometer. Gap spacing is influenced by the incidence angle. because of changes in the angle of incidence affects the angle of diffraction. For the spectrum of purple when i = 0° value gap is the distance between 1605nm and observed diffraction occurs at an angle of 15,5°. While when i = 10° gap spacing is reduced to 1036nm and observed diffraction occurring at an angle of 20°. So that any changes the angle of incidence (in this case is the angle binoculars) affect the diffraction angles and distances between the slit on the spectrometer.
